Chatbot

Derry City and Strabane District Council have partnered with Finland, Ireland (Donegal & Galway) and Faroe Islands to Sundsvall (Sweden) to work together on the EMERGREEN project. This project is an EU funded project to improve public service technology in order to help create greener, more sustainable communities.
DCSDC has worked extensively this past year along with NUI Galway to develop a ChatBot for the Recycling and Waste department.

The ChatBot will be available on the recycling section of our website to give information to local residents on a range of recycling services in real time improving connectivity with users.

We ran a competition in the summer to help give the ChatBot a name. The name RIA (recycling information assistant) won by a majority vote from an online poll.
