Christmas Recycling 2022

Along with lots of festive cheer, Christmas can create lots of rubbish too. Every Christmas, 3 million tonnes of rubbish gets thrown away in the UK. From presents to parties and everything in between, it’s more important than ever to know what bin your rubbish is supposed to go in. Remember to check what plastics can be recycled, as well as all food packaging like sweetie tins and toy packaging.

Foyle Hospice Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme

Foyle Hospice is once again running their Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme. The scheme offers people the opportunity to have their old Christmas tree collected from their front door and shredded so it can be used in the hospice gardens throughout the year.

This is a great opportunity to get an old tree collected, help out a local charity, and help the environment, all at the one time and all for a very reasonable suggested donation of £6. The scheme will operate from Wednesday 4th Jan – Saturday 7th January, with slots needing to be booked before collections start.

Collection slots can be booked by using the online booking form available on our website https://foylehospice.com

Or by calling the fundraising department of Foyle Hospice on 02871 359888
