Pallet Furniture Workshop
We are planning a cross community project, The Coming Together Project, which will run for 5 afternoons, Monday 3rd – Friday 7th July, 2 – 4.30pm and on Monday 7th– Friday 11th August 2-4.30pm. We have space for 12 people aged 16 plus on each of those weeks to learn how to upcycle pallets and wood into garden furniture. The items made will be donated to a community centre, day centre, or care home nominated by the participants within their communities.
Remade In Derry
If you have any unwanted furniture or electrical items drop them at the Furniture Donation Point at New 2 You in Pennyburn Recycling Centre, Derry. They’ll be upcycled and refurbished by unemployed and disabled people training in trade skills and are then sold at affordable prices in the New 2 You shop on site. So you’re helping people re-skill while helping our environment – it’s a win win!

Training/Courses
We educate people who are unemployed and people with disabilities in repair and life skills equipping people for the workplace. We offer participants a personal development plan supporting them and breaking down barriers to employment. Our courses are OCN accredited and include:
- Basic Construction Skills – carpentry and painting
- Exploring a Career in Construction – Electrical skills
- Teamwork skills
- Healthy Living
- Retail skills
If you’re interested in any of our courses email [email protected] or call 02871360453.
